Hechi University provides on-campus accommodation for international students enrolled in the One-Year Chinese Language Program, offering a safe and affordable living environment that supports daily study and campus life.

Students are accommodated in four-bed dormitory rooms, which are arranged and managed by the university. The accommodation fee is 2,000 CNY per year, making it a cost-effective option for international students. Dormitory rooms are generally furnished with basic necessities, including beds, desks, chairs, and storage space, to meet students’ daily living needs.

The university allocates accommodation, and students must comply with all dormitory management rules and campus regulations throughout their stay. Facilities such as bathrooms, water, and electricity are provided in accordance with university standards, while additional living expenses are borne by students based on actual usage.

Living on campus allows students convenient access to classrooms, libraries, dining halls, and other university facilities, helping them adapt quickly to life in China and focus on their Chinese language studies at Hechi University.

Admission Process

Admission to the One-Year Chinese Language Program at Hechi University (HCU) is carried out strictly in accordance with the university’s age requirements, document verification, fee payment rules, and scholarship conditions. Applicants are advised to carefully follow all stated procedures and deadlines to ensure successful enrollment.

Applicants must first meet the basic eligibility criteria. The age requirement for this program is 18 to 30 years. Students from stable countries and Belt and Road countries are eligible to apply. Applicants should be academically prepared to undertake a full-time Chinese language study program in China.

The admission process begins with the preparation and submission of application documents. Applicants are required to submit a valid passport, a recent passport-size photo, their highest diploma certificate and academic transcript, a health check-up report, a non-criminal record certificate, a language proficiency certificate, a bank statement showing a minimum balance of USD 3,000, and a completed application form. Applicants who have previously studied at other Chinese universities must additionally provide proof of enrollment or a transfer certificate. Incomplete or incorrect documentation may result in a delay in processing or rejection of the application.

After document review, eligible applicants will receive an Admission Letter from Hechi University. Upon receiving the admission letter, students must pay the full fee in accordance with the university’s fee structure, including tuition, accommodation, insurance, registration, and any other applicable fees. Only after the required payments are made will the university proceed with enrollment and further registration procedures.

Students who have paid all required fees may apply for the Zhiyuan Scholarship, which provides 1,000 RMB per year. Scholarship applications can be submitted after one semester, and eligibility requires a transcript average of at least 80%. The university sets the scholarship's application period, and approval is contingent on academic performance.

Applicants should also note that the university arranges accommodation in four-bed dormitory rooms, and all students must comply with campus regulations during their studies. Fees for textbooks and physical examinations are charged based on actual conditions.

The application deadline for the program is 31 December 2025, and classes will begin in March 2026. As admission is subject to seat availability and document approval, early application is strongly recommended.
