International students:

Since 2008, Fujian Medical University has been recruiting international students, and now, over 300 foreign students are enrolled in the Medicine (MBBS), Stomatology (BDS), and pharmacy departments. Foreign students are mostly from Korea, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana, Botswana, Liberia, Sudan, Indonesia, and other African and Arabic countries.

Clinical Medicine (MBBS) Program Cost:

The Medicine Program (MBBS) at Fujian Medical University is a six-year English-medium program that comprises five years of medical study and a sixth year of clinical internship. The annual cost of the Medicine Program (MBBS) is 39,000 RMB ($5700), which covers tuition and accommodation. Additional expenses include a visa extension fee of 800 RMB per year and health insurance costing 800 RMB per year, both of which will be borne by the students.

The MBBS fee at Fujian Medical University for Pakistani students is approximately 16 Lakh PKR per year. There are 60 seats in the medicine program (English-taught), and foreign students from all over the world are eligible to apply for the MBBS program.

Admission Requirements:

International students interested in studying medicine or stomatology at Fujian Medical University must meet the following entry requirements.

• The CSCA Exam is mandatory for applying to bachelor’s degree programs.
• The applicant must have a minimum of 70% marks in their senior high school/HSSC/WAEC/or A-Levels.
• The age requirement for the MBBS/BDS program is 18-30 years.
• Fujian Medical University does not require an entrance examination.
• The school can conduct the online interview on WeChat or DingTalk.
• The student must provide a financial guarantee or a bank statement showing a minimum account balance of $ 5,000.

IELTS or TOEFL Requirements:

Those students applying for the Medicine/Dentistry program at Fujian Medical University whose native language is English and who submit official proof of full English teaching in senior high school/grade 12 are exempt from submitting IELTS or TOEFL score certificates.

For those whose native language is not English, English language proficiency must be supported by IELTS (IELTS score not less than 6.0, and single item score not less than 5.0). TOEFL (Internet-based TOEFL score must be 85 or higher, with each item 20 or higher, or paper-based TOEFL score must be 580 or higher) or other equivalent English test scores.

Admission and Interview:

The university evaluates the authenticity and comprehensiveness of applicants’ materials and organizes for eligible applicants to participate in the entrance examination, which is divided into an interview and a written examination.

1. We will focus the interview on evaluating the applicant’s comprehensive quality and language communication ability.
2. The written examinations will cover the subjects of English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.

The university will conduct a comprehensive evaluation based on interviews and written exam scores and select the best candidates for admission.
